WHAT TO EXPECT IN YOUR HYPNOTHERAPY SESSIONS

The lovely therapy room in our home is peaceful and very comfortable. 

The first visit will be the initial consultation where we gather some information from you about what you are hoping to achieve with the sessions, provide you with an explanation about how hypnotherapy works in relation to the specific areas you would like to work on, how many sessions you may need, and you’ll have a chance to have all your questions answered. In the second part of this initial visit, you’ll be given an opportunity to experience a short relaxing hypnotherapy session.

Most sessions are approximately 75 minutes long.

  • The first session will be the initial consultation where we gather some information from you about what you are hoping to achieve with hypnotherapy, provide you with an explanation about how hypnotherapy works in relation to the specific areas you would like to work on, how many sessions you may need, and you’ll have a chance to have all your questions answered. In the second part of this initial session, you’ll be given an opportunity to experience a short relaxing hypnotherapy session.

    This should provide you with enough information to decide if Hypnotherapy is the way forward for you. 

     

  • One you’ve come to the initial consultation we’ll have a better idea how many sessions you may need. It does all depend on what you are looking to work on in your sessions and the intensity of your symptoms or concerns. 

    You’ll know when you feel you that you have attended the sufficient amount of sessions. For some people, 3 sessions may be enough to overcome a phobia or reduce stress, but for others, up to 12 sessions may be necessary, such as in the case of weight reduction. After completing their group of sessions and reaching their goal some people even like to get a “top-up” once a month. 

  • Stage Hypnosis entertainers often amuse their crowds by choosing audience members who are excited about being on stage and who are easily hypnotised. The audience members who are chosen can change their minds at any time and bring themselves out of hypnosis, but most enjoy the process so much that they go along with the fun. 

    Hypnotherapy is nothing like stage hypnosis. The purpose of hypnotherapy is healing and growth in a safe, supported environment for you. You are in control at all times. It has been said that hypnosis in hypnotherapy is self-hypnosis. You allow the process and work with the Hypnotherapist for your highest good.

    Nathalie, your Hypnotherapist has the highest qualification possible for Clinical Hypnotherapists in North America and is a member of the International Medical and Dental Association, International Association of Counselors & Therapists, and the International Alliance of Professional Hypnotists.

    We are open on weekends which seems to work very well for many clients.

  • You will always be in control during hypnosis. Hypnosis is often called self-hypnosis facilitated by the therapist. You cannot be hypnotised against your will during a hypnotherapy session and you cannot be made to do or say anything you don’t want to. 

    Hypnosis is simply a state of altered awareness – a dual awareness where you are aware of everything going on around you yet at the same time you are able to access your subconscious mind. 

    Most people find hypnotherapy very relaxing and feel great after a session.
